I think it’s fair to say I’ve been a busy little beaver since Christmas, it’s seriously been a colour-fun full couple of weeks. Well almost a fun month really.
I dropped my art off on the 26th of December ready to be shown at the local Port Adelaide rotary artshow, which ran for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately no paintings sold but I got a bunch of lovely compliments and curiosities on technique. So who cares right!
Next was the Rotary club of Victor Harbor artshow and this one is a big art show for Adelaide. I mean big! There were around 1400 paintings showcased this year and a whopping 341 paintings sold between the opening on the 16th of Jan to the 24th of Jan. The total was just shy of $230,000 and I am proud to say that my painting Saturn sold on opening night! Yay!
I’m already looking forward to next years show and seeing what the club bought for the community with their share of the profits.
All between that I’ve been preparing some resin necklaces! I’ve recently got my hands on some half moon molds -which were a pain to find!- and I’ve finished off the remainder of my blank bezels. All chains are 50cm in length and prices listed under the photos.
So what do you think of the pendants? Should I keep up with the larger round bezels?
If you would like to purchase any of the necklaces seen here you can contact me through my facebook page or at firstname.lastname@example.org
As for my round resin art, I’m now taking commissions -feel free to contact me for price ranges, I work by a linear inches pricing scheme. So there is a price for everyone.- and am about to create a few more pieces for some more up coming artshows in the next few months. It’s going to be a busy and creative year in this household and I cannot wait!
So sit back and relax, because I have photos to share and thanks to my lovely big bro for taking excellent photos.
